Liked AnswerA Nanny is usually an Adult that either works for an agency or directly for a family. They may live with the family. They receive compensation weekly or bi-weekly. Their job duties entail caring for children (feeding, changing, bathing), helping children with homework, cooking, light cleaning, transportation. Some may be required to hold CPR & First Aid certifications. A Babysitter is usually a Teenager that will essentially only watch the children for a family on an as needed basis, for a couple of hours. They receive hourly pay.
